Our Story
Eri + Ali® was born out of a desire to make clothing that inspires self-expression. The company was founded in 2015 by childhood friends Eri Takase and Ali Weiss, both designers with a passion for fashion, art, and building community.
Eri and Ali met in elementary school in their hometown of Portland, Oregon. They quickly bonded over their creative spirits and love of drawing, writing, and imagining. Throughout middle school and high school, the friends spent countless hours sketching clothing designs and planning their future fashion empire.
After graduating, Eri and Ali went their separate ways to study fashion design at colleges on opposite sides of the country. But they remained close and continued to collaborate on designs during school breaks. Upon earning their degrees, they decided to take the leap and turn their shared dream into a reality.
Pooling their talents and savings, Eri and Ali launched Eri + Ali® with a small collection of tops and dresses. The pieces featured their signature blend of whimsical details, artistic prints, and effortless silhouettes. To the founders’ delight, their clothing quickly attracted a following of customers who appreciated the brand’s joyful and subtly rebellious vibe.
Spurred on by the enthusiastic response, Eri and Ali expanded the Eri + Ali® offerings to include pants, jackets, skirts, and more. Yet even as the product line grew, the duo remained committed to keeping things small and personal. They vowed to never lose sight of their ultimate goal: to spread creativity and self-love through fashion.
Today, Eri + Ali® has blossomed into a thriving women-owned business based in LA. But the brand’s origins are never far from Eri and Ali’s hearts and minds. Everything they create is touched by the spirit of their lifelong friendship and common passion.
Our Design Philosophy
The Eri + Ali® design philosophy is embodied by our motto: Dress fearlessly, flawed is beautiful, be you.
We believe style is a form of self-expression that should empower you to embrace your individuality. Our goal is to make clothing helps you feel comfortable in your own skin and confident to be your authentic self.
Every Eri + Ali® piece is thoughtfully designed to celebrate both the perfectly imperfect and the whimsically unexpected. We play with proportions, mix prints, and add touches of texture and detail that keep our looks interesting yet completely wearable.
Inspiration strikes us everywhere – from vintage shops to modern art museums, city streets to natural landscapes. We find beauty in the chaos of clashing patterns and the unfinished edges of a frayed seam. Imperfection sparks our creativity.
Our designers sketch instinctively, combining fabrics and silhouettes in unexpected ways to achieve our signature look. We design from the heart rather than adhering to trends, because self-expression never goes out of style.

Our Fabrics & Production
Eri + Ali® uses only the highest quality fabrics sourced from ethical vendors around the world.
The majority of our fabrics are natural fibers like cotton, linen, and silk. We love the beauty of their delicate imperfections that develop through wear: soft fading, slight fraying and pilling. Natural fibers feel luxuriously soft against the skin and allow breathability.
We also incorporate modal, rayon, and other manmade fibers into select pieces when blended thoughtfully with natural fibers. This enhances comfort, fit, and versatility.
In addition to quality materials, ethical production is hugely important to us. Whenever possible, we work with local LA-based manufacturers to produce our clothing. This allows us to oversee fair working conditions firsthand.
For the pieces made abroad, we partner with vendors and factories we’ve vetted to align with our standards. Worker safety, fair wages, and environmental sustainability are always top priorities. We aim for full supply chain transparency so you can feel good about the origins of Eri + Ali® clothing.
While we take great care to minimize waste, we never discard flawed fabric. Instead, we view small irregularities as opportunities to transform imperfect cloth into perfectly unique garments. Our designers intentionally craft each piece to embrace the beauty of its imperfections.

Tops
Eri + Ali® tops are designed for effortless femininity and versatile wear. Flowy silhouettes, soft fabrics, delicate details, and unique prints define our signature top styles.
The Verona Top is one of our all-time bestsellers. This billowy blouse features a V-neckline, elephant print, and romantic ruffle bell sleeves. It’s available in multiple colorways so you can find your perfect match.
Our Lucia Wrap Top is an office-to-evening staple. The soft modal fabric wraps and ties at the waist, complemented by a subtle front keyhole detail and 3⁄4 sleeves. So chic!

Our romantic Sorrento Dress is straight out of a dream. Layers of whisper-soft chiffon create a skirt that moves beautifully as you walk. An embroidered mesh yoke and ruffle bell sleeves add boho flair.
For casual summer style, slip on the Positano Tiered Dress. The cotton gauze fabric is ultra-lightweight with a ruffled asymmetrical hem. Just add sandals!
Make an entrance in our Amalia Midi Dress. A flounced handkerchief hem gives dramatic movement to this sleeveless modal jersey midi. The square neckline provides timeless elegance.

The Florence Floral Kimono features a vibrant floral print on a lightweight cotton gauze base. Wide kimono sleeves, side seam pockets and an open front create a relaxed silhouette perfect for layering.
Keep cozy in the Bianca Fringe Cardigan. This open front waffle knit cardi features playful knotted fringe trim. A ribbed collar, cuffs and hem add sweet finishing touches.
